Check out Sunday’s article about the Mars Bars game, one of the most bizarre incidents in UAB basketball history.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
As you surely know, UAB blew a 18-point lead at North Texas yesterday, losing by a final score of 78-75. The Blazers drop to 7-7, 0-1. Full recap to come.
The Blazers next play on Saturday at home against Tulsa (6-7, 0-0, #256 KenPom).
FOOTBALL
Football recruiting news has been near-nonexistent over the last two days because of the NCAA dead period, which prohibits in-person recruiting contact and campus visits. Thankfully, news is about to pick up again: the “quiet period” begins today, allowing coaches to make in-person contact with potential mid-year transfer enrollees, while the dead period officially ends on January 5th. UAB will host a significant number of prospects on campus over the next two weeks.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Looking to recover from Sunday’s blowout loss to Temple, the women’s basketball team (9-4, 0-1) heads to San Antonio today to face off against Torvik #67 UTSA. The game tips off at 6:30 PM CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
